ossiculith

a minute (0.05-0.5 mm) irregular, plano-convex, ellipsoidal calcareous concretion from the labyrinth of Teleostomes. Usually formed in the sacculus adjacent to the external side of the sagitta or in the lagena. Also used for statoconia, q.v
